Pilbara support services

We provide support services for people living in the Pilbara and Port Hedland region. Our Cancer Support Coordinator is here to support people affected by cancer, their carers and families in the region. They can provide care, coordination, advice and support for you between Perth and the Pilbara.

Cancer Support Coordinator

Our Cancer Support Coordinator can help you navigate the healthcare system and has a deep understanding of the unique
barriers to accessing care for rural residents, their carers and families.

They can support you in a range of ways, including:
  • Accessing complementary therapies, counselling, ancillary support, and bereavement support, in conjunction with support groups.
  • Providing information and resources from diagnosis, through to post treatment while linking in with local services and support systems such as ReachUs, Hedland Well Women’s Centre, WA Country Health Service and the McGrath Foundation.
  • Advocating for your needs by facilitating integrated support.
  • Introducing you to Solaris’ services, courses and workshops that cover topics such as Advanced Care Planning, nutrition, wellness and more.

Our Cancer Support Coordinator is here to support you through your cancer experience and is available for personalised one-on-one or crisis support.
