This gives it perspective: Justin Langer backs cancer charity

Cricket wins and losses are put into perspective for Justin Langer when he is confronted with cancer, the scourge that took his mother Joy-Anne last year.

Just a few moments this week with Carl Maseyk, a 32-year-old father diagnosed with anaplastic large cell lymphoma, and reality bites.

“It still hurts when you lose but there is no doubt this gives me perspective,” Langer said days after his Perth Scorchers were bundled out of cricket’s Big Bash League series.
