Tuesdays

Exercise Your Way

Tuesdays 8:30am-9:30am

The benefits of exercise are well known of course, but many of us don’t move enough.  The recommendation for cancer prevention is 150 minutes per week of moderate - vigorous activity.  This class will give you 60 minutes but don’t feel daunted - this class is for everyone!  It’s all done under the supervision of an Exercise Physiologist who has additional training in working with people affected by cancer.  If you have health issues that impact your ability to exercise, we recommend an individual assessment with an ESSA accredited Exercise Physiologist before you start.

Qigong

Tuesdays 9.30am - 10.30am

Qigong is mindful movement that bring grace, balance and harmony. Qigong or chi gong harnesses the power of body, breath and mind to create a moving meditation. Sometimes called “Chinese yoga”, qigong developed alongside acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine, and over three thousand years, has flowered into myriad forms. Like Tai Chi to which it is related, the movements are graceful and fluid, with the focus of connecting with feeling and the present moment.

Sing for Joy

Tuesdays 10am - 11.30am

Come and enjoy singing in a friendly, group environment with our passionate and experienced musician James Palmer. This weekly activity provides opportunities to learn and share songs, do vocal exercises and be guided to experiment with group singing in a choral style. This group is open to anyone who would like to exercise their singing voice, no need for any special skill set, a love of music and a willingness to try is a great starting point.
