Services | Solaris Cancer Care

"There are two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle." ~ Albert Einstein

Cancer is different for everyone, but it does not mean you need to go through it alone. Solaris Cancer Care provides emotional and physical support to patients and families living with cancer, by offering a helping hand to improve quality of life and overall wellbeing.

We have five centres throughout WA - SJOG Subiaco, SCGH Nedlands, Cottesloe, Bunbury and Albany. Our services are free of charge, or at a nominal cost at our Cottesloe centre, and available to all adult cancer patients and their carers.

Support Groups

One reason people experiencing cancer can feel isolated is that the people around them, no matter how loving and helpful, haven’t faced a similar situation themselves. They may find it difficult to truly understand what you’re going through. For many people with cancer, and their families, support groups such as those offered weekly at Solaris Cancer Care Cottesloe are an integral part of dealing with the cancer journey. Our support groups include:

Wellness Programs

Our cancer wellness programs introduce people with cancer to the wellness strategies they can implement in their everyday lives to live well throughout treatment.

Our programs incorporate a strong emphasis on holistic health, environmental factors, solutions, self-help strategies and personal wellness. Some programs are fee-based, but many are subsidised or even offered free for Friends of Solaris Cancer Care. Click to see details of our Wellness Programs.

Solaris Cancer Care believes that the best way to become empowered during your cancer journey or in your efforts to prevent illness is to have knowledge and to be supported while implementing wellness strategies.

When you fully understand your disease and how different areas of lifestyle affect it, you will be empowered to take control of your health. View our membership options at our Cottesloe centre, from free membership to full membership, and the associated benefits
