Who we are

Founded in 2001 by clinical haematologist Dr David Joske, Solaris Cancer Care is a self-funded Western Australian not-for-profit organisation that provides free supportive services to adults affected by cancer, their carers and their family.

Our evidence-based approach helps people feel informed, empowered and supported through all stages of cancer.

The generosity of donors, sponsors, and our team of over 200 volunteers has enabled us to be there for people impacted by cancer like Emma during their time of need.

Everyone deserves access to free support, and we would like to continue being there for people across Western Australia.

We want to continue being a support network for people to lean on during hard times.

We want to provide free accessible support services for the next 20 years to come.

But we can’t do it without your support.

Thanks to your support we have raised

out of our $500,000 target.

Why support us?

We provide free support to families living with cancer in our community. We all know someone who has been touched by cancer – it could be a coworker, an employee or even a family member. Let us be part of your engagement strategy.

Our service delivery is based on data and research, and we provide safe, coordinated and evidence-based care. You will be supporting an organisation that continuously reviews services to ensure it supports latest evidence and prioritises the safety of all clients, volunteers and staff.

People can access our support during all stages of cancer, from diagnosis, active and post-treatment, recovery, palliative care and bereavement. We are a support network for our clients, and by supporting us you are providing them with a community for them to lean on when they need it most.

The support we have provided for over 20 years positively impacted the lives of people affected by cancer, as reflected in our recent 2023 Client Feedback Survey where clients viewed our Solaris centres as caring, calming, supportive and welcoming.

Every dollar has always counted for Solaris, but never more so than now.
