Pilates

Pilates promotes mobility and
strength of all the major muscle
groups in the body in a balanced
fashion, with a key focus on the
deep core muscles. It is gentle. Many
of the exercises are performed in
reclining or sitting positions, and
most are low-impact and partially
weight-bearing. Therapists aid in
developing correct spinal and pelvic
alignment and concentration on
smooth, flowing movement, to
become acutely in tune with the
body. The therapist can adapt a
workout best suited to your current
needs.
