Why do some people seem more prone to cancer than others? Lifestyle factors like smoking, sedentary lifestyle and poor diet,
exposure to toxins and other known causes may increase risk, yet some people seem to get away with it, while others with health
conscious lifestyles still get cancer.
As the understanding of genetics grows, particular genes have been identified that increase risk of certain cancers.
There’s still a lot of unknowns though and having genetic testing won’t be for everyone.
This workshop is facilitated by a skilled genetic counsellor who can explain the science clearly and help
you understand the options for testing.
