Letter from our CEO on seeking government support in response to COVID-19

I write to you at a time where the world has changed significantly, for all of us, including the Solaris Family.  It’s a time where we are working through the impacts of the COVID-19 crisis.

For nearly 20 years, Solaris has delivered support to cancer patients at all stages of their cancer journey.  Our support has been considered, caring and personal. In fact, 90% of our services have been delivered in-person across our five locations.  But that all changed on 20 March, when we closed our doors and launched our remote and outreach programs to stay connected with our patients.  We are doing this online and by phone.

Our patients are telling us that our services are even more vital to them during this crisis.  But we need support to continue to provide these essential services to our patients.

I’d like to share with you the letter I wrote to the Premier on 2 April.
